sweeter than you and I will never find another more precious than you… you’re the only one, you’re my everything. All my life I pray for someone like you and I thank god that I finally found you. And I hope that you feel the same way too.~K-Ci and JoJo

Aside: This was our first dance for our wedding. It always brings back sweet memories. πŸ™‚Β

My daughter posted this article today called 23 unromantic signs you’ve met your soulmate (find it here). The signs? To name a few……

You have a blast doing wicked boring stuff, like grocery shopping.

You have more fun on the couch with takeout, than in a restaurant with a fancy meal.

You enjoy getting dressed up, but you like being on the couch in sweatpants together even more.

They call you out when you need them to and vice versa.

They give you support and encouragement, but not they let you do your thing.

You know them so well, you can answer questions, like on Would You Rather, because you know how they think.

You can openly tell each other when you’re annoying the crap out of each other, but you can still laugh about it.

They buy your favorite snack while they’re out, instead of flowers…. and you love it.

You’d rather spend a lame day with them that an amazing date with anyone else

The other day I was talking to a friend and my 11 year old pipes up and says tell him how Daddy laughs at you sometimes. When I get angry, the hubbs laughs. He thinks I’m adorable when I get angry and, of course, that takes the wind right out of my sails. My friend said you guys must just laugh all the time and we do. Every time the hubbs go to the grocery store or gas station, he is always ready to make sure Β he gets at least a couple of things I really love. We can spend a day doing nothing, or we can spend a day doing all kinds of things. Either day is great and fun because we’re doing it together. He definitely can annoy the crap out of me, but I’m no picnic at times myself. It’s even inspired a post or two (No one can piss you off like the person that turns you on)!

Not romantic, but definitely hilarious!Β

A while back a book was published that was a huge hit. It was called Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus. It’s very true in a lot of ways. Even though we’re the same species, women and men are so different in so very many ways. The FOA (family of origin) I came from was very demonstrative with love. The hubbs’ is not though. He tells me he loves me all the time, but sometimes I wish he would bring flowers more or put more effort in gift giving. As I’ve said before, the hubbs is an amazing gift giver. His presentation, however, can leave a bit to be desired. lol One Valentine’s Day, he got me a Redwings Jersey. I adore that Jersey, but when he brought it in he kinda just handed it me and said Happy Valentines Day! I’ve learned over the years, the way he shows love isn’t the same as the way I did and do, but that’s okay. He loves me and he’s there for me. He makes me laugh.

I wouldn’t change that for the world.
