I wrote about everything we’ve been doing with my store (You gotta keep your balance….It’s a challenge but I manage.), but this story wouldn’t be complete without a shout-out to the man behind the woman. The past month or so, and the next I don’t know how many months, I’m working about 90 hours a week. Thankfully, my older two children are grown, and Lil Bit is almost 12. It’s not like he requires nothing, but he’s no little kid. Hallalujah! Even so, between his homeschooling, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, and everything else it takes to run a household would definitely not be getting done, without my awesome hubbs. There just aren’t enough hours in the day.

Being the awesome guy he is, he hasn’t complained once and has picked up the mantle, leaving me very little to worry about at home. It’s amazing. I don’t know what I would do without him. As I write this, he has just texted me to say he is making meatloaf tonight, if that’s cool. I mean, wow! Last night, when I came home from my 10 hour day, to then work on the product we are developing for two hours, he folded the laundry. When I sat down, exhausted, he asked if I needed anything or was hungry. I mean how DID I get so lucky? I’m really not sure, but I’m certainly not complaining!

That little girl in the bottom right, she’s 21 now! The young man who’s face you can barely see–he’s 23! and we’re going on 13 years (together 15). 

I’ve literally been so consumed with getting this store up and running and developing the new product line I think I’ve become pretty boring! Lucky for me, he doesn’t care.

On a different personal note: I thought I was going to have to beg, but it looks like my lovely daughter will be picking up some slack at the store as well very soon!
