I’ll stop the world and melt with you. ~Modern English
Today’s challenge is to take five quotes and weave them into a story. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t usually write ahead of time and I don’t write outlines so this should be interesting. I’m not really a short story kinda writer, but I do love a challenge! What is this IBMC you speak of?? Find it here. A couple of the quotes needed to be edited just a teeny bit because of grammatical differences in native English and non-native English speaking.
I am confused at times. Should I sound? Should I echo?
You need not answer all the questions! You can just laugh and laugh again.
Thoughts – they do what we don’t ask for!
I knew it! That I don’t know!
At times, we pretend to think on one and actually think everything else!
She watched as he checked out the waitress walk by again. Your thoughts- they do what we don’t ask for! They make me feel small as he checks her out again. I am confused at times. Should I sound? Should I echo? Should I tell him what he does to me? You need not answer all the questions. Yes, you can just laugh and laugh again. My feelings impertinently discarded by his eyes, his wandering eyes. I knew it! I knew he would leave. The day however, that I don’t know! At times, we pretend to think on one and actually think everything else? Don’t be silly he said.
I just wanted some more ketchup.
I use this short story as an illustration that, when we allow emotions to rampage unwarranted through your relationship, it can cause you to have thoughts (good and bad) about your SO. Jealousy is often unnecessary. For instance, we might get jealous because we think our SO is checking out a cute girl, but all he wanted was ketchup! With a loving and trusting relationship, however, you can have all those wonderful things in the picture above! A partnership in and out of bed.
