Some days I know exactly what I want to write about. Something has happened or I’ve learnt something that day I want to share. Other times, I’ll go trolling Facebook or something else for ideas. Today, I logged on and saw this article about some amazing people. Knowing that there are people in this world still willing to do these things, still willing to go above and beyond for complete strangers, it gives me hope. I hope it gives you hope as well.

Some movers in California help abused women get away from their partners, for free! They work with domestic violence shelters and have moved women across the country. If you want to learn more about them, start here. These guys are amazing! Their Facebook page is right here. My hat goes off to them and their amazing cause!

REALLY doing their part!

Now, for a word on safety. We have a need for food, shelter, clothing, etc, but beyond that, we have a need to feel safe and secure. Some people never get that and what a shame. Others are too fearful to leave the small comfort they have and not financially stable enough to leave on their own. There are people out there that will help you. There are domestic violence shelters. There are people that get women and families out of bad situations and they can help you too. If you have a need for this service, try the National Domestic Violence Hotline. That’s 1-800-799-SAFE. I don’t want to give local numbers and places because we are all over the place. Just whatever you do, please remember, there are people willing to help and no matter how scared you are, it will get better AND you DON’T have to live like that.

If I have encouraged just one person, I think this served its purpose.
