Why do people have affairs? Go on horrible first dates? Look for a connection with someone/anyone? Because when we meet new people we also get to experience the rush of a first kiss, the excitation, the rush of adrenaline when we kiss someone for the first time. So, what’s a gal to do when she’s been married/ with her partner for 10-15 years? You must become inventive and you have to keep things fresh.

What does “keeping it fresh” mean? You have to make a conscious effort. You may have to make play-dates. You may want to buy some costumes and play dress up. There are 100 ways to keep your relationship new and your man, or woman, involved with you. Good marriages don’t just happen. You have to make them happen!

One way to make sex more exciting for many couples is to incorporate some BDSM (Bondage, Domination, Sadism, and Masochism). The hubbs and I have a great sex life, but surely it could get stale if we let it. We like to switch things up a lot and one way to do this is we talk turns asking for what we want. For example, one night he’s the one to call all the shots and the next time it’s my turn. But, we’ve never really taken it to the level of Dominant and Submissive.
